Changes in v3.25

- Version 3.10.5 introduced a means to keep the same type part/supply in different locations. The previous purchasing history was not imported though, which caused some confusion for some customers. 3.25 makes purchases, as well as the usage (e.g. on a work order) for parts, visible again.
- The 'Current Stock' screen now shows all parts and supplies, not just those that have quantity on-hand greater than zero.
- By default, Parts/Supply list now shows total stock quantity (across all locations)
- When looking at the stock history, doubleclicking on a purchase will open the purchase form, doubleclick on a work order will open the original work order.
- Minor improvements to stock screen (use default currency as set in Cmms settings, default stock location), etc)

MARKETPLACE
The Marketplace is a place to get new add-ons, custom reports, and localizations for your CMMS. Some of the add-ons available are:
SCHEDULED REPORTS: This add-on lets you configure a particular report to run on a predefined schedule. The report will be generated automatically on that schedule and emailed to the users you select.
For example, you can specify that you want the "Open Work Orders" report run every day, and the result be emailed to you (and any number of co-workers). Everything is automatic: there is no need to run the report each day -- this add-on does it for you!
Any number of reports can be emailed to any number of people, on different schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, etc). You can even email different versions of the same report to different people on different schedules!
SMTP PROVIDER: By default, MA CMMS sends the email notifications through the MA CMMS Web Site. This add-on allows you to specify your own SMTP server (e.g. your corporate Microsoft Exchange Server) to handle email.
MOBILE APPLICATION: This add-on lets you connect to your MA CMMS using your BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, or other smartphone. You will be presented with a custom user interface specially designed for the small screens usually found on smartphones. This add-on comes free with your Cloud Pro Account, and is available to purchase in the market for Cloud Base users.


TUTORIAL/COMPUTER-BASED-TRAINING
MA CMMS now comes with a guided tutorial to help you learn the basics of MA CMMS faster. Note that this is for new users to the CMMS on fresh installs.

IMPORT IMPROVEMENTS
The Import From CSV File feature has been greatly improved. You can now import more fields for assets and work orders, and in addition can import asset events and event types, users, meter readings, and businesses. The importers are also more flexible, allowing you to selectively update existing records, or replace them entirely.

IMPROVED STOCK/INVENTORY HANDLING FOR PARTS
A single part/supply can now be stored at many different locations. Each stock location keeps track of its own quantity-on-hand and minimum quantity. There are also features to do bulk adjustments (e.g. for physical counts). This is just a start -- we plan to add more functionality to this area in future releases.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES
The Asset Offline/Online Tracker has some additional features, and the reason that the asset was set online/offline can now be changed.
Notifications for closed work requests now respect any custom "Closed" status.
When adding parts consumption to the work order, the work order did not refresh immediately -- this has been fixed. Also, the work order log now shows what part was used.
... and many more smaller fixes and improvements.

- Fixed an issue where manual update and/or the manual server restart's would declare process to be over when it is still running;
- IPad users can choose whether they want full or mobile user interface;
- New user preference: use single-click instead of double-click; useful for tablets (IPad, Playbook, etc) when using full (instead of mobile) UI.

MA Cloud allows you to easily, and securely access your CMMS from anywhere.

MA Free CMMS allows you this flexibility as well, however to compare to our cloud service offering, you need to set up 'firewalls', purchase and set up 'static IPs', 'domain names', 'SSL certificates' and so on. In addition, you may also need to buy and set up hardware (i.e. a PC) to run your CMMS Server from, take care of backups, any hardware failures, and so on. For many people, all of the above technological requirements are just not a good use of their time, and the costs to buy and implement each will end up being higher than if you just let someone else take care of it all.

This is primarily a bug-fix release. Please refer to the Release Notes for the list of bugs fixed.

NEW FEATURES:

- You can now see the asset location on the Work Order and Scheduled Maintenance forms;
- User account can be 'disabled'. Once the account is disabled, user cannot log in. Note that deleting a user might delete all the historical data associated with the user, e.g. work order tasks completed. Thus, if a user leaves the company, it may be better to, instead of deleting the user account, just deactivate it. This keeps all the history, yet prevents the user from having the access to the system. Note also that, any new users you create will start with the account being *disabled*. This gives you the time to set the user's group membership, username, password, email, and so on. Once all these are defined, you can enable the account, at which point the user is sent a Welcome message;
- User list, Asset List, and Scheduled Maintenance list, now show the 'Active/Inactive' icon.

- The Asset Location Tab now shows Google Map of the given address. Note that some browsers might try to block you from accessing this service (data is coming off the Google Maps servers);
- Preliminary support for sending messages is enabled. Messages will be sent to either the recipient's internal MA CMMS inbox, or her email address, depending on the user's 'Email All Messages' setting. Note that community access has to be enabled for email to work.

- Maintenance Assistant now includes a warranty certificate management system. Warranties for specific machines can be added through the server interface, and can be viewed on the web interface.
- If you are behind a proxy server you can setup Maintenance Assistant to use the correct proxy when accessing web services. To setup your proxy settings go to "Settings" -> "Network".
- Manuals can now be added for parts, just as they can be added for machines.
- You can now specify the quantity used for each machine associated part.
- You can now specify a custom IP address in the "Settings" -> "Network" tab. The IP address specified will be used in all instances where the internet address would have been used.
- Using the server interface you can manually send RFQs for parts by opening the part details.
- You can now specify a model number for parts.

Bug Fixes and Changes
- Part inventory system has been overviewed and updated, no correctly reports part shortages and sends out RFQs. Parts are only managed if a minimum quantity is supplied.
- Many of the reports did not have function correctly before, they have been fixed.
- You may now enter machine meter readings when updating or completing a work order.
- Daily priorities are listed in a list box so that you can easily view and edit upcoming priorities.
- Many of the web services have been updated, including the check updates, and IP update services, they will no longer cause the program to momentarily stall.

- Maintenance Assistant can now import machines, parts, and suppliers from other databases. Users may import from mySQL databases, any ODBC data source (requires iodbc on Linux / Mac), csv files, or dbf files. Accessible through "File" -> "Import".
- New security system for the web interface allows you to specify a list of allowed IP addresses or subnets, any other addresses will be blocked. This feature is accessible in the "Settings" -> "Network" tab.
- You can now specify how often grouped RFQ orders are sent out. The default period is every day, it may be changed in the "Settings" -> "RFQ Settings" tab.
- Administrators can now set "Daily Priorities" in the server interface. Daily priorities change over at 12:00AM.
