Core CMMS Features
Our Generation 3 CMMS comes with all of the features from V2 and includes the following improvements:
Asset Management
- All Assets are treated equal. All Facilities, Equipment, Tools, Parts & Supplies are driven by system defined rules. These rules dictate the nature of the asset and the type of maintenance or consumption that occurs on it. By default, Work orders may be assigned to all Facilities, or equipment, and parts & supplies may be consumed.
- Custom Fields. Custom fields may be created and assigned to any type of asset. Once created, they will persist on all forms of that asset type
- Asset Reports. Every item within the system has built in reports to allow the viewer to determine key information right when they need it.
Scheduling and Preventive Maintenance
- Multi-Triggering. Triggers may be pooled on one Scheduled Maintenance item, to allow the user the power of triggering a work order based on multiple inputs including any time or meter reading trigger.
- Automatic User Assignment. Technicians are automatically associated with a work order based on their relation to the asset or based on task assignment. Notifications can be sent based on their association, meaning that Technicians can be notified of pending work and Asset Operators can be notified when their Asset is offline.
- Multi-User Assignment. Multiple technicians may be assigned to a Work Order or Scheduled Maintenance item, and Work Orders have improved documentation and logging of all tasks, updates, parts used, and costing over the life of the Work Order.
- Flexible status. MA CMMS will always keep a working record of any Work Order to allow it to be reopened if it has mistakenly been closed.
CMMS Behaviour and Control
- User level customization. Each user has the ability to customize the look, layout and behaviour of their CMMS account. The following may be customized for each user's account:
- Language Preference
- Interface Skin
- Form Layout Style
- Menu positioning and behaviour
- List Behaviour, paging, visible list columns
- Dashboard widgets and reports
- Custom User Access. The CMMS will ship with standard User Roles, including: Administrator, Coordinator, Technician, Guest. The administrator has the option of adding any number of new roles to which he/she may assign system priveleges.
- Administration From any Workstation. Administration and Data Management is now accessible through the web user interface, with the added security and control to lock down firewall access for administrators to specific IP addresses if desired.
Software Architecture
- Purely developed using J2EE. A java based architecture ensures OS compatibility, longevity, interoperability and the benefits of leveraging powerful open source technologies.
- SQL Standard database. MA CMMS deploys on an Apache Derby database, however utilizing a SQL standard fully normalized database design, advanced users can deploy on any SQL Compliant database platform.
- Runs as a Windowless Service. MA CMMS Application Server installs on any computer and Runs as a registered service. The Server will continue to run when the account is logged out, and will start automatically when the computer starts up.
- AJAX Driven interface. MA CMMS interface implements full exposed business logic through an AJAX enabled Web interface that has been maticulously created around portability and extensibility. This Advanced UI is accessible through any compatible web browser.
- Architected for Extensibility. The entirely extensible object model, through web services and the MA CMMS API, will allow custom interface development for external and wireless devices to integrate with all aspects of the CMMS
