Maintenance Assistant Free CMMS is the first entirely free CMMS software to be designed with unlimited and unrestricted scalability and flexibility. The CMMS architecture uses a fully exposed object model through an AJAX enabled interface with full API access. This gives any organization the ability to build add-ons, or to customize the software without limitation. Organizations can utilize their own IT staff, or outsource development of custom components to Maintenance Assistant Development Professionals within our community. This will allow the Maintenance Assistant Application to be the cornerstone of many custom projects created by Developer and Support partners that can help you integrate and extend our CMMS to fit the specific needs of your organization. Since Java is one of the most well known open source development languages, this also means that you never need to buy into proprietary licensing in order to build out your custom solution.
3. Transportable Data, built on industry-standard proprietary free components!
Our MA CMMS V3.0 is built using J2EE, a powerful and optimized development language which allows it to be deployed onto any Java compliant environment. It ships with an Apache Derby Database on an integrated Apache Tomcat Webserver Server, both open source and very robust. It is entirely SQL standard, and entirely normalized as per the needs of our object model and may be deployed on any OS (AS400, Solaris, Linux, Windows and Mac). If the included DB and Web server are not desired, it can be run on any Web Server (i.e. WebSphere) and on any SQL Compliant Database (I.e. Sybase, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL, etc.) allowing the MA CMMS to be used regardless of the network and server policies of our end users!
What does that mean to you? If down the road you decide to migrate to a new CMMS, there are no restrictions or lockdowns. If you choose to switch to MA Free CMMS from another application, your SQL compliant data can be just as easily migrated to our platform.
4. Secure Software with secure communication
MA CMMS V3.0 has built in 128-bit, SSL encryption and a powerful multi-tiered firewall to ensure the security of your data. In addition to this, all Registered CMMS users, are given a 512-bit MA Secure Key that distinguishes them and uniquely secures their communications with our Community Servers, when using extended CMMS Tools, from any other organization in our community.
5. Maintenance Assistant will always to be an Entirely Free CMMS!
All asset management systems sound good until you hear the price. We understand that. Nobody likes to pay for an unproven application, be held hostage to expensive annual fees or have features turn off after a demo period is over. Additionally, it can be frustrating to be handcuffed by costly upgrades to access features turned off in the "free" version of most applications.
