Maintenance Assistant Inc. (MA) is a Canadian Controlled Private Corporation (CCPC) incorporated in the province of Ontario, Canada.

The direction and governance of the corporation is based on values and ethical business conduct and is determined by the Chief Executive Officer, the board of directors, management, shareholders, and other stakeholders (including suppliers, employees, creditors, customers and the MA Community at large). The board of directors is selected by the shareholders of the corporation.

In consultation with its stakeholders, MA has established the following core guiding tenants for the governance of the corporation:

Conduct and Decision Making:
The Business shall be conducted with integrity and in an ethical manner at all times. The interests of shareholders and stakeholders shall guide all decision-making. Decisions shall be made responsibly and be based on evidence. Business relationships shall be mutually beneficial.

Operation and Accountability:
The corporation shall be operated with a view to achieve long term strategic goals to satisfy the needs of shareholders, customers, creditors, employees and suppliers, complying with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements, and be responsive to the needs of the MA community. MA shall be accountable to its shareholders and stakeholders.

Director and Officer Behavior:
Directors and officers shall behave with honesty, trust and integrity, openness, transparency, responsibility and accountability, mutual respect, commitment to the organization and to the MA community, and be performance oriented.

Board of Directors:
The board of directors shall have a range of skills to ensure effective governance and oversight of the corporation and shall be chosen by the shareholders.

Disclosure:
Disclosure of material matters concerning the organization shall be timely and balanced to ensure that stakeholders have access to clear, factual information.

Confidentiality:
The confidentiality of client data shall be protected at all times and the ownership of client data shall reside exclusively with the client.

MA Application Development:
MA is committed to customer-driven, continual improvement and shall continue to foster an ecosystem of innovation, which shall include MA users, stakeholders and the MA Community at large. The application shall be developed according to industry best practices. The corporation shall invest in the resources needed to ensure the long-term sustainable development of the MA application and provision of services and is committed to the free use of the MA application.
